Fish of the day
Grilled, poached, baked in salt or on a clay tile. The season’s fish, cooked the way you like it.

Galata Bridge · Since 1980
Fish of the day, cold meze and rakı at tables overlooking the Bosphorus. One of Istanbul’s longest-established seafood tables.
Since 1980
Yıldızlar opened in 1980 on the old Galata Bridge. The bridge has since been rebuilt and the city has changed, but the spirit of our table never has: the freshest fish of the season, carefully prepared meze and a cool breeze off the sea.
Today we carry on the same tradition beneath the New Galata Bridge, on the Eminönü side, with the New Mosque (Yeni Cami) beside us and Karaköy and the Galata Tower across the water.

Our kitchen
From sea bass to turbot, bluefish to lobster, our fish display fills up every morning with the catch of the season. Choose your fish, and we’ll decide together how it should be cooked.

Grilled, poached, baked in salt or on a clay tile. The season’s fish, cooked the way you like it.

From herbed yogurt haydari to salt-cured lakerda, samphire to stuffed mussels, the meze tray comes right to your table.

Shrimp in butter, calamari, fish kokoreç and clay-pot casseroles.

“The sea in every bite, history in every breath.”

The view
By day, ferries glide toward Üsküdar and Kadıköy; as evening falls, the bridge lights spill across the water. Whether you sit by the window or at the open-air tables along the bridge, the sea is always right beside you.
